MedPlan Calculator
Total cost and adequate benefits are the determining factors when selecting your medical plan — not just the monthly rate or the annual deductible. The right plan will have the proper balance of cost and coverage for your family’s needs.
Use the MedPlan Calculator below to compare an estimate of the Total Cost of Care on GuideStone’s PPO plans. (The Health Saver 2800 is different from a PPO plan and is not included in this comparison. For more information about the plan, refer to page 10 of your 2010 Medical and Dental Personal Plans Re-enrollment booklet. Because the Health Legacy 200 is closed to new participants, it is not included in the comparison.)

Having trouble estimating what your health care costs might be? You can get an idea of what typical procedures might cost.
Are you considering moving to a higher-deductible plan? Consider:
You should be prepared to meet your deductible. While you can save on your monthly rate by moving to a higher-deductible plan, you should consider whether you would you be able to set aside those savings to help pay for the higher deductible in the event of an unexpected illness or injury.
Your out-of-pocket costs for care could be higher. In addition to your deductible, your total out-of-pocket costs could be higher in a higher-deductible plan. It really depends on the amount of healthcare you and your family need in a given year. Maximum annual out-of-pocket costs (coinsurance maximum plus deductible) for Family Coverage range from $4,000 on the Health Today plan to $17,000 on the Health Choice 5000. For Individual Coverage, the range is from $4,000 to $12,000.
