Setting goals is an important first step toward success. Your challenge is to create an action plan to achieve your 10 wellness goals for 2010. If you haven’t created wellness goals yet, there’s still time. Your goals can include:
- Physical
- Mental
- Spiritual and
- Financial goals.
To be most effective, goals should be: - Written
- Challenging
- Believable
- Specific
- Measureable and
- Have a specific deadline.
Having an accountability partner also increases your success. Look for a friend, coworker or family member with whom to share your goals and progress. A church or ministry organization might want to select an employee to act as a Wellness Advocate to encourage participation among staff members. Feel free to print copies of the Wellness Goals card and poster for yourself and coworkers. Wellness resources for employers Create a healthier workplace. Your employees are most likely to meet their weight loss and exercise goals when you provide a wellness-oriented environment where they receive support and encouragement.

If you’re getting little or no physical activity now, it’s time to take that first step. Literally.
Third Challenge - Log your steps to count how many 10Ks you can complete this year.
We hope you’ve taken the first step and committed to walking 10 minutes, 10 times per week, with 10 friends. Now that you’re on the path to get moving, it’s time to track to your success and dig deeper.
